I have performed hundreds of weddings and I am truly passionate about performing the best ceremony possible for you. I really want both you and your guests to love the ceremony. While there should be an air of gravitas to your wedding ceremony, I like to also make the ceremony light and fun and include a bit of humor. I ALWAYS get stopped as I am leaving a ceremony by a number of guests that tell me how much liked the ceremony. Its confirmation that I put 100% into making the ceremony special and memorable for my couples.
I have been licensed by NYC since 2009 (Officiant License #1113379).
I married the love of my life, Veronica Moya Lau (who is also a licensed Wedding Officiant) on July 16, 2016 in Central Park. We live in Manhattan and are loving every minute of life together. So you can be comforted by the fact that I have instant backup in the event of some emergency.
I was ordained and went through The New Seminary’s Interfaith Program like many other Officiants in New York. While I was raised in a Baptist Church and went to Messiah College, a Christian College, I believe that everyone’s path is different and very much a personal journey. So I have performed ceremonies that have included Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, a mix between all of them and certainly ceremonies that are non-religious as well.
I welcome ALL couples in love that wish to be married regardless of their backgrounds and beliefs.
I go by Brad, or Rev. Brad. I normally wear a dark suit and tie. I can also add a black stole if you wish with a cross.
While I perform weddings on the weekends, I am a corporate photographer during the week. I used to photograph weddings years ago, that’s actually how I met my wife, but I no longer do so. I only perform them.
I am a NY Rangers fan and hope they will win a Stanley Cup one of these years.
